Sketch Saturday

Sketch Sat 378To make this card I started with a piece of brown paper which I embossed with a Crafters Companion folder “Hession” adding a little Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Using a rose printed page and a toning pink page from a favourite paper pad, Rose Garden, I cut two panels from the rose pattern and matted onto the pink. The “ribbon”, was made using a Martha Stewart punch to which I added a little strip of the brown paper. I layered up the central die cut pieces and added pearls and a little pink ribbon.  The thank you was die cut from the pink paper and attached to the bottom right hand corner.

The layout for this card came from Sketch Saturday and I am entering it into their challenge 378. Take a look at their blog for lots of lovely inspiration and lots ( and I do mean LOTS 🙂 ) of sketches
